John Campbell
When we look at the "who's who" of Scouting who were forwarded the news of Dorothy's passing, it is very evident to see that hardly any Scouter in the Northwest Community was not blessed with knowing Dorothy. Her love of Scouting and Scouts spanned the gamut of inspecting camps so that hundreds of Scouts could camp safely to taking four boys for a week of summer camp so that they would have lifetime memories. The Signal Hill OA youth will forever be blessed with her handiwork whenever they wear the ceremonial shirts she designed and sewed. With an OA Vigil Honor name which translates to "Cutter of Wood Who Has Humility," can you think of any better remembrance of her than that? I will miss her around the neighborhood and around camp. Off to Gillwell indeed.
