Condolence: Dorothy was truly a wonderful individual. She was unique in that nobody could come close to being as giving as she was. I had the honor of working with her a few times at Little City through the OA and also at almost every OA Fellowship, where she worked harder than anyone. What a beautiful person she was.

Condolence: We all loved hearing stories of "Mom" from Aaron. You put a mark on all of us and you will be sincerely missed. My deepest condolonces through this trying time.

Condolence: We will always remember your infectious laughter and how much of a role you provided with the Little City "boys". Your presence will be sorely missed, but you are in a better place where other scouts need you.

Condolence: When we look at the "who's who" of Scouting who were forwarded the news of Dorothy's passing, it is very evident to see that hardly any Scouter in the Northwest Community was not blessed with knowing Dorothy. Her love of Scouting and Scouts spanned the gamut of inspecting camps so that hundreds of Scouts could camp safely to taking four boys for a week of summer camp so that they would have lifetime memories. The Signal Hill OA youth will forever be blessed with her handiwork whenever they wear the ceremonial shirts she designed and sewed. With an OA Vigil Honor name which translates to "Cutter of Wood Who Has Humility," can you think of any better remembrance of her than that? I will miss her around the neighborhood and around camp. Off to Gillwell indeed.

Condolence: Dakotah and I met Dorothy at camp Napowan while she was camping with Troop 457 and attending Troop meetings. Dorothy was truly one of a kind and we will miss her greatly. Dakotah and I will always cherish the hand carved lanyards you made and presented to us. they will always be worn with great pride. Condolence: Dorothy was truly a special lady and devoted scouter who lived the Scout Oath and Law in her every day life. She will be remembered for her devotion to the youth and adults of Northwest Suburban Council. She will be missed by all who called her friend. Rest in peace Scouter!

Condolence: So sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. When Spring Fellowship at Napowan came around, she would always walk into the kitchen to help. I never had her email to ask for help but she was there. Thank you, Dorothy.

Condolence: I have great memories of being a Camp Napowan with Dorothy and the Little City troop. We would schedule a hike midway through the week for the boys from my troop (468) and others who needed the 5 mile requirement for tenderfoot. We would start early and stop 1/2 way for a Steak and egg breakfast. The shock on the boys faces when the found out that it was hot dogs (steak) and Hard boiled eggs was priceless.(some of the new adults were surprised as well!) For the rest of the week it was fun to see how my scouts would interact with the "boys" from Little city. For that alone it was worth getting up early and walking around camp. It made for a great experience for the boys

Condolence: Condolences on the passing of Dorothy. She was a wonderful woman and unforgettable in many ways. I choose to remember her as she graciously offered to bring me with her to the 1997 Jamboree, and we shared stories driving together the whole way. We sent white water rafting on the way home. Not many, if any, others would have been so gracious.
