GEORGIA SHAPIRO (Davidson)
November 18, 1913 – June 3, 2017

Peacefully on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in Phoenix ,Arizona, Georgia passed away at the age of 103. Georgia was predeceased by her loving husband Abe and daughter Diane. She is survived by daughter Ellen Yakimovich (Larry), son-in-law Michael Gomberg, grandchildren Andrew Gomberg, Michael Yakimovich (Julie), Tracy Yakimovich (Nathan Dale), Lori Gosar (Matthew), Lindsay Stein (Erik), great grandchildren Cade and Lexi Yakimovich, Oliver and August Dale, Evan and Lorelei Gosar and Nikolai and Aurora Stein.

Georgia was born in Des Moines, Iowa on November 18, 1913, married Abe Shapiro in 1937, and made her home in Chicago. She was a homemaker and excellent oil painter. Her paintings decorate walls in homes throughout the United States. Her friendly smile and many words of advice will always be remembered and appreciated.
Honorary Pallbearers are Andrew Gomberg, Michael Yakimovich, Tracy Yakimovich, Lori Gosar and Lindsay Stein.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, 11AM June 8 at Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery in Arlington Heights, Illinois
